Agrobiotech Innovation Forum 2025

GREENHOOD took part in the 2025 Agrobiotech Innovation Forum in Lleida (Spain), contributing to a nutrient management workshop and participating in the exhibition area.

About the event

The Agrobiotech Innovation Forum is a key meeting point for professionals, companies, and innovators shaping the future of agriculture and livestock farming. Held from 25 to 27 November 2025 in Lleida, Spain, the forum brings together the agri-food ecosystem to showcase the latest technologies, sustainable solutions, and strategies for 21st-century farming.

With over 250 exhibitors and more than 14,000 professional visitors, the event was structured around six thematic areas: agricultural machinery and technology, agricultural production, livestock, water, energy and sustainability, and the bioeconomy. These focus areas highlight innovation across the entire value chain, from precision agriculture and smart resource management to circular economy solutions and renewable energy.

GREENHOOD at the event

GREENHOOD was represented by the BETA Technological Centre (UVic), project coordinator and partner for the Ebro River Basin demo-region, through active participation in both a nutrient management workshop and the exhibition area.

GREENHOOD co-organised a dedicated workshop entitled “Nutrient Management and Valorisation for Agricultural Application – From an Environmental Challenge to a Circular Opportunity”, which took place on 25 November 2025, from 09:00 to 13:00. The session aimed to promote knowledge exchange and foster collaboration among key stakeholders in Catalonia.

The workshop brought together farmers, public authorities, biofertiliser companies, and researchers and focused on nutrient management and valorisation for agricultural applications, addressing both environmental challenges and the opportunities offered by the circular economy. Technical, regulatory, and strategic aspects were discussed, alongside the presentation of successful industry cases, particularly in the fields of biofertilisers and anaerobic digestion, as well as a selection of relevant ongoing R&D&I projects. The session also contributed to GREENHOOD’s regional assessment activities, providing an overview of the current situation in the Ebro River Basin demo-region.

In parallel, BETA hosted a GREENHOOD stand in the exhibition area. The stand served as a communication hub to raise awareness of the GREENHOOD project and the Ebro River Basin demo-region, engaging visitors through information on the project. Contacts established during the event will support follow-up actions, further dissemination activities, and continued participation in public events to strengthen the project’s visibility and outreach.
