GREENHOOD at Expo AgriTech 2025
GREENHOOD took part in the 2025 Expo AgriTech in Málaga, contributing to discussions on biotech solutions for soil health and sustainable agriculture through its Ebro River Basin demo region.
About the event
Expo AgriTech is Spain’s leading technological, industrial, and innovation event for the agri-food sector, bringing together industry leaders, SMEs, researchers, and technology providers to strengthen the competitiveness and productivity of agriculture.
Held from 3 to 5 November 2025 at the Málaga Palacio de Ferias y Congresos (FYCMA), the event welcomed professionals to explore the latest Field 4.0 solutions, including agricultural robotics, intelligent systems, sustainable energy, food safety, and digital tools supporting modern farming.
As part of the fair, the Agritech 4.0 Congress took place, serving as a key national forum for discussions on precision agriculture, biotechnology, efficient water management, automation, circular economy, and artificial intelligence applied to farming, fostering the transition towards a more sustainable, technological, and competitive agri-food sector.
GREENHOOD at the event
GREENHOOD was represented by Carme Bosch Suades (from Eurecat, GREENHOOD’s partner in the Ebro River Basin demo region). On 30 October, Carme contributed to the session “Soluciones biotecnológicas para la mejora de la salud del suelo y el impacto del sector agrícola”, focusing on biotech approaches to improve soil health and reduce the environmental footprint of agriculture.
The presentation highlighted the critical role of soil microbiota in enabling productive and environmentally responsible farming. It showcased strategies to manage soil biodiversity effectively in order to enhance natural fertility, reduce chemical inputs, and increase crop resilience. Through techniques and practical cases, the session reinforced a key GREENHOOD message: healthy, living soils are the foundation of a more sustainable and profitable agricultural model.
