NENUPHAR Webinar: Collaboration and Governance for Sustainable Nutrient Management

On 28 July 2026, three Horizon Europe projects, GREENHOOD, NENUPHAR and SEACURE, are joining forces for a webinar on collaborative governance and stakeholder engagement in nutrient pollution management and nutrient recycling. Bringing together experts, practitioners, businesses, researchers, and policymakers, the session explores how better governance can unlock more sustainable and effective nutrient management across Europe.

About the event

How can we make better use of valuable nutrients while reducing pollution? This webinar addresses that question head-on, with presentations spanning governance theory, real-world case studies, and cross-project experience

The agenda includes:

  • An introduction to the concept of collaborative governance and its implications for nutrient management.
  • Corporate innovation in practice: A case study from ProfiKomp, a Hungarian waste management company.
  • Insights into the SEACURE project's contribution to innovation ecosystems and policy development.
  • An overview of the governance approaches developed through the GREENHOOD project, including the methodology behind the Governance Labs.
  • A closer look at multi-level nutrient governance in the Ebro River Basin, presented by the NENUPHAR project.

GREENHOOD at the event

GREENHOOD is represented by BETA Technological Centre, presenting the governance practices developed throughout the project, with a particular focus on the Governance Labs established across our demo-regions. From the methodology of designing participatory governance processes to the practical experience of convening stakeholders around shared nutrient management challenges, including lessons from the first Governance Labs, our presentation aims to highlight how collaborative governance can bridge the gap between research, policy, and practice, and connect these efforts to ongoing governance work in the Ebro River Basin.
