Updates from the Ebro River Basin Demo-Region: Demo implementation in Spain
Last October, the Spanish demo-region partners gathered together at Sorigué facilities, in the province of Lleida, to visit the site on a nearby farm where the Spanish pilots will be installed.
What happened?
BETA Technological Centre (UVIC), Eurecat, CWP, CIRCE, IG4 (responsible for the field tests) and Sorigué partners discussed the proposed treatment scheme for the pilots, including operation modes and the potential expected outputs. After the meeting, partners agreed on the future coordination steps in order to be aligned on the upcoming activities, namely:
- To collect influent from the farm for the recovery technology pilots;
- To put together the pilot outputs with the field tests.
What’s next?
In the upcoming months, partners will discuss the details of the pilots – including the technical setup, waste collection, and field-testing activities. Full operational pilots should be ready by the beginning of next Spring 2026.
