RAMIRAN 2025
Recycling of Agricultural, Municipal and Industrial Residues in Agriculture Network (RAMIRAN) is a research and expertise network that was set up more than 25 years ago to improve nutrient utilisation and minimise the environmental impact of livestock manure and other organic material used in agricultural systems.
The conference is focusing on the management of organic residues and manures in agriculture. In the context of climate change and environmental pressure, safe and sustainable utilisation of existing and emerging organic resources becomes increasingly important, as is taking into account potential trade-offs or synergies.
GREENHOOD at the event
This edition of RAMIRAN is hosted by our partner Wageningen University & Research (WUR), a key player in the GREENHOOD project. As part of the event, Carolin Ellerkamp (PhD WUR & Ghent University) is presenting a poster on “Sustainable optimisation of nutrient budgets and co-benefits for other pollutants to ensure clean water”, showcasing our work in the Rhine, Meuse & Scheldt Basin demo-region.
We will also be represented by Ana Robles Aguilar, Group Coordinator at the BETA Technological Centre (UVIC), who will give a presentation on the GREENHOOD project with a special focus on technological schemes and nutrient recovery and valorisation.
