GREENHOOD at IFAT Munich 2026

From 4–7 May 2026, GREENHOOD joins IFAT Munich, the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management, to showcase the project’s latest advancements in circularity.

About the event

IFAT Munich is the most important industry meeting place and the heart of the largest international network for environmental technologies. In May 2026, over 3,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries will gather in Munich to present pioneering strategies for water management, recycling, and climate resilience.

The event serves as a global hub for cross-manufacturer solutions, focusing on several key pillars:

  • The future of wastewater treatment: Exploring water reuse, resource recovery, and sewage sludge recycling.
  • Materials recovery: Highlighting efficient material cycles through automated sorting and cross-sectoral circular economy processes.
  • Climate resilience: Addressing flood protection and sponge city concepts to strengthen urban adaptation to extreme weather.
  • Energy valorisation: Investigating biogas production and heat recovery from waste and water streams.

GREENHOOD at the event

GREENHOOD’s presence at IFAT Munich highlights the bridge between academic research and industrial application. The project is represented by the BETA Technological Centre (UVIC), our project coordinator and lead for the Ebro River Basin demo-region, together with the Catalan Water Partnership (CWP), also a key partner in the Ebro demo-region.

Located at Booth A1.222, our team hosts a dedicated space to engage with the global environmental technology community. This year, we focus specifically on the Ebro River Basin, showcasing how we tackle the urgent issues of water scarcity and nutrient management that affect the Mediterranean region.

Visit us at our stand to:

  • Explore circular solutions and learn how the Ebro River Basin demo-region transforms technical and environmental challenges into sustainable business opportunities for the water and agricultural sectors.
  • Engage with experts from UVIC and CWP to discover the latest innovations in nutrient management and how they integrate into broader circular economy cycles.
  • Discover synergies between GREENHOOD and other international environmental initiatives showcased at the fair.

Don’t miss the chance to see how we are shaping a sustainable future for the bio-resource industry. In the meantime, you can explore the full event programme on the official IFAT Munich website.
