GREENHOOD at Farmari 2026

From 25 to 27 June 2026, GREENHOOD was present at Farmari, Finland's largest agricultural fair, held for the first time in Kalajoki. Taking place at the Kalajoki airfield area near the famous Hiekkasärkät beach, the event brought together professionals, enthusiasts, and families from across Finland's agricultural, food production, and rural sectors.

Farmari is a landmark event in the Finnish agricultural calendar, offering an overview of contemporary farming and rural enterprise. From the latest agricultural machinery and livestock production to local food, rural crafts, and live demonstrations, the fair serves as a meeting point for industry professionals and the wider public, combining a world-class agricultural showcase with the best of Finland's summer season.

GREENHOOD at the event

Farmari offered the perfect stage to connect with Finnish farming professionals and share GREENHOOD's progress in the Archipelago Sea Basin demo-region.

We were represented by Kari Ylivainio and Petri Kapuinen from LUKE (Natural Resources Institute Finland), who attended the fair to present the GREENHOOD project at a dedicated booth. Over three days, they showcased the project's work on nutrient recovery and bio-based fertilisers and engaged in networking with Finnish agricultural professionals, researchers, and stakeholders.
