GREENHOOD at the Circular Economy Forum 2026

On 29 October 2026, GREENHOOD is present at the Circular Economy Forum 2026 in Salo, Finland, an annual event bringing together businesses, authorities, and decision-makers working towards more circular solutions in the region.

About the event

The Circular Economy Forum is a landmark event in Southwest Finland's circular economy calendar, focusing this year on two interconnected themes: the Baltic Sea and energy transition. From keynote addresses and case presentations to company visits and networking opportunities, the forum brings experts and practitioners together to turn challenges into solutions and build sustainable, profitable businesses.

The 2026 edition features a keynote by Member of Parliament and Baltic Sea Parliament member Pauli Aalto-Setälä, alongside presentations from the John Nurminen Foundation, Origin by Ocean, the Finnish Biocycle and Biogas Association (SBB), and others. The event brings together more than 100 participants, including authorities, regional decision-makers, businesses, and NGOs.

GREENHOOD at the event

GREENHOOD's presence at the forum is driven by our work in the Archipelago Sea Basin demo-region and the relevance of our findings to the Baltic Sea and circular bioeconomy agenda.

Chief Specialist Sari Luostarinen from LUKE (Natural Resources Institute Finland) presents findings on the nutrient balance of the Archipelago Sea catchment, drawing on results from the GREENHOOD project. The Finnish Biocycle and Biogas Association, also a GREENHOOD partner, presents on biogas, fertilisers, and security of supply.

Participation in the forum is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Discover more on the official event page.
