Circle the Med – The Mediterranean Forum (8th Edition)

GREENHOOD will take part in the 8th edition of Circle the Med – The Mediterranean Forum, taking place on 3–4 June 2025 in Athens, Greece. This flagship event gathers political leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts from across the Mediterranean region to accelerate progress toward a climate-neutral future.

The overarching theme of this year’s edition, “Policy to Progress: Mediterranean for a Climate-Neutral Future”, highlights the need for concrete actions, with a focus on governance, innovation, and cross-regional collaboration.

The event aims to:

  • Foster dialogue between political leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.
  • Drive progress towards a sustainable and climate-resilient Mediterranean.
  • Facilitate partnerships and the exchange of innovative solutions in environmental governance.

GREENHOOD's contribution

Represented by EPLO (European Public Law Organization), GREENHOOD will take part in the exhibition area with visual and promotional materials, including roll-ups and project videos, to engage participants and raise awareness on the project’s objectives.

Aligned with the event's objectives, EPLO's role within GREENHOOD is focused on the policy and governance dimension. EPLO aims to explore the feasibility of novel governance models tailored to regional needs, collect governance and regulatory inputs from the demo regions, map innovative governance frameworks and co-define their adaptation with regional stakeholders, and contribute to the creation of governance roadmaps.

The participation in the event will also be a valuable opportunity to engage with similar EU and Mediterranean initiatives, explore synergies, and strengthen the shared commitment to climate-resilient governance.
