Sustainable Nutrient Management in the Ebro Basin: Governance, Innovation & Territorial Action
On 4 November 2026, GREENHOOD and NENUPHAR are joining forces again for the second Governance Lab of the Ebro River Basin demo-region, hosted at the Sede de la Comunidad General de Regantes del Canal de Aragón y Cataluña in Binéfar, Huesca. Building on the first Governance Lab held in May 2026, this full-day working session deepens the dialogue on shared governance, multi-level coordination, and the practical steps needed to advance sustainable nutrient management across the Ebro Basin.
About the Governance Labs
The GREENHOOD Governance Labs are participatory platforms designed to bridge the gap between technical innovation and policy reality. At each event, we bring together regional stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to co-create actionable roadmaps for sustainable nutrient management.
Our goal is to ensure that the environmental solutions proposed by GREENHOOD are practically feasible, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the regulatory frameworks of the Ebro River Basin demo-region.
What to expect?
The session is structured around two complementary moments: a morning dedicated to governance frameworks and multi-actor dialogue, and an afternoon focused on concrete solutions and technical innovation.
In the morning, participants will engage in a roundtable on shared and multi-level governance, with contributions from the Departament d'Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca i Alimentació, the Instituto Aragonés de Gestión Ambiental, the Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro, and the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. A second session aims to explore integrated nutrient governance and the convergence between actors, before participants come together for a participatory exercise on building the governance they want to see.
The afternoon shifts to an ideas laboratory and technical innovation showcase, where companies and research centres are expected to present solutions related to nutrient and water management in the territory.
